Children living with HIV, especially those under the age of five, are at high risk of developing Advanced HIV Disease (AHD), a clinical state marked by a severely weakened immune system, which can lead to serious illness and death if not identified and treated early. Despite progress in HIV treatment, many children continue to experience late diagnosis, poor retention in care, and inadequate access to life-saving interventions.
