Screen & Support: Peer Supporter Course

Young women living with HIV may be more likely to experience gender-based violence (GBV), which can have effects on their health, wellbeing, and ability to stay retained in HIV care. ​Peer supporters working in local clinic and community settings can play a valuable role in connecting young women to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care and psychosocial support services.

This Screen & Support course was developed as a resource for supporting peer supporters and healthcare providers to screen young women living with HIV who may be at risk of GBV, as well as those already experiencing GBV, and connect them to services. ​
