Yes, it has had very huge impact. I normally believe if the health care provider are healthy mentally then they will offer very quality and professional services but currently the providers are just worrying about their fate after April and different program work differently. We got a waiver and the waiver support only few services this has impact on integration of care there will be no holistic approach in offering services. The waiver has also come with different terms like there are services we used to offer like SRHR, Family planning, GBV they are no more within the current waiver so yes it has affected a lot.

It has significantly affected services delivery ranging from case finding, initiation and retention in care and viral load suppression thereby deterring achieving epidemic control by 2030.Additionally, it has rendered some of our ROCs especially adolescents and adult jobless as they depend on the program for their daily bread.

Very true bro, what hurts me most is that all effort and work put toward achieving our 2030 vision is all being drained and now we are retrogressing instead of progressing, so all the previous struggles we are about to face them again

GuestMarch 10, 2025 at 10:24 amWe have recently received a cancellation notice regarding the Stop Work Order. Consequently, we are permitted to resume all activities, including those that are subject to the waiver. However, we are awaiting clarification from USAID on whether the certification, which we are required to sign on the 20th of each month and which mandates the suspension of the use of USA government funding for administrative, conference, and related activities, is encompassed within the cancellation notice.

Reduced funding has affected the supply chain for medications, the distribution of health commodities, and the workforce. Some activities, such as awareness campaigns and educational programs, especially at the community level, are lagging behind.

GuestMarch 10, 2025 at 5:21 pmAs LGBTQ led grassroot in Uganda,we received a turning letter of all contract from the implementing partners IDI makerere and advised to reverse the funds we had received and not used yet, so we are facing challenge of resource mobilization, since we had just got started having support from PEPFER projects, and that is the only funds we had secured so far as a grassroot organization working in rural areas and LGBTQ led . A lot is really overwhelming,we need to find a steadfast resolution before things get worse and the communities we serve are scared of what’s going to happen.
Thanks.

GuestMarch 19, 2025 at 9:19 pmYes, the USAID donor cut funding has impacted individuals differently. this cuts across all the levels: the service providers who are in constant panic or worry mode about what else come April19th 2025. As for the AYP who seek HIV promotive or preventive services are also affected especially the peers who used to guide them who are not sure of tomorrow.
As per the HIV client flow, there is quite massive movements and by this, I mean transfers in and out of the facilities due to one reason or another.Country: Kenya

Truly speaking the cut of funds have and will bring more harm than good. The target we had for 2030 for end Aids by 2030 won’t be achieved if this goes on.

Even if, funding isn’t tempered with, achieving out target by 2030 is not guaranteed, considering that new infections were still recorded almost on a daily basis<div>
