GuestMay 5, 2025 at 11:34 pmYes the shift or termination had a negative impact on Hiv testing services at our health facility and community.
.Index contact tracking/ finding greatly affected -Human resource shortages for tracking and testing as community health service nurses ( CHSN) were affected.
.Communication resources shortages eg airtime to track high viral load Reciepiants of care as well as their contacts
. Facility health worker shortages as Community Referral facilitators (CRFs) were affected buy the exercise.
. Data sources Documenting gaps noted as a result of HCW shortages hence possibility of unrealistic data is very high as statistics is concerned.
. Provision of user friendly HIV/SRHR/TB/Mental services compromised as a result staff shortages.

Yeah some have even started paying for services that they were not paying. Forcefully integrated with other out patient which makes them uncomfortable and being handled with total new people which makes it hard to build the trust that was once then

This has come as a shocker and most of the services were either hurriedly integrated without adequate time to check their workability and others abruptly stopped leaving the clients at crossroads; the staff were sent packing and systems came to abrupt standstill with reminder calls and update of defaulters and tracing halted leaving everything in amess. No close follow up for adolescent and young persons living with HIV with no working psychosocial support groups. With the trend the spike in HIV new infections among youth and adolescent will spike
